A little clarity
on privacy.
Your startup context is useful. You should understand where it goes and what you can control. This page describes how the current early access version works.

This website
The landing page and its interactive demo do not ask you to create an account or send your demo entries to a server. The demo uses a fictional startup profile and keeps edits only in the current page. This site does not install analytics scripts or advertising cookies. Vercel hosts the website and may process ordinary request information to serve and secure it.
Your extension profile
Founderfill stores your profile and settings locally in Chrome, in a namespace associated with your signed-in account. Regular profile facts and approved Answer Memory entries can sync to Founderfill’s AWS backend. Signing out hides that account’s local data; signing back in restores access.
AI-generated suggestions
Some suggestions come from your local profile or saved answers. Contextual AI requests send
relevant question and profile information through Founderfill’s authenticated backend to
OpenAI. Founderfill sets the API request to store: false and does not log
prompt or answer content in its application logs. Local suggestions remain available when
remote generation cannot be used.
Sensitive information
Financial metrics, traction, and private custom facts have separate controls for local use, cloud sync, remote AI, and insertion into forms. Cloud sync and remote AI are off by default for these sensitive values. Review those settings before adding information you consider private.
Website access
The extension requests access to regular websites so it can recognize relevant form fields and show suggestions. You can block a website in Settings. When a site is blocked, Founderfill stops detecting fields and learning answers there. It skips password, payment, authentication, government identifier, and search fields.
Clicking and submitting
Preparing a suggestion does not change a field. You choose when to fill or replace an answer, and you can edit or undo it. Founderfill never submits a form, accepts terms, sends a message, or makes a purchase for you.
Saved answers and account deletion
You can reset Answer Memory in the extension. That removes saved answers, learned field choices, and X reply samples across the signed-in account’s startups, while keeping profiles and settings. Account deletion is available through the extension and removes the remote account and associated data. Offline changes sync when a connection is available.
Optional X features
If you use the X add-on, your profile and confirmed public reply samples may sync with your account to help match your writing style. Unposted drafts are not learned or synced as confirmed reply samples. Replies still require your explicit action to fill and post.
